Text Formatting Coding

May I ask a stupid question as to what coding will NOVA support in post text boxes, and private messages text boxes?

BBCode?
HTML? I know HTML codes have issues when interacting with NOVA programming, has that been looked into?

The only place that supports BBCode style stuff is the wiki. Most other places accept some basic HTML.
