Nova 2.4 is now available and adds a new email class that should help alleviate some of the issues people have been seeing of late. Built around the robust Swiftmailer library, this change should provide more reliable email delivery as well as easier setup for those trying to use a third-party SMTP email delivery service like Mandrill or MailGun.

Please note: due to the discovery that outgoing spam filters are checking the reply-to headers as well as the from headers, we have disabled the reply-to headers in Nova 2.4. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we've placed a higher priority on the delivery of email over the convenience of being able to hit Reply and send an email back to the poster.

I just pushed Nova 2.4.1 which should fix the error people are getting that mentions the Nova security class. The CodeIgniter update that I did for 2.4 didn't document that method had been removed. Apologies for the inconvenience.

There's also a note on the Nova site when you download Nova 2.4 about an additional step necessary to make sure you don't run into problems with sending emails.

Nova 2.4.3 is now available and should address issues with posts, logs, and news items not being viewable when they aren't activated.

The solution takes into account whether someone is logged in, what their access level is, and if they should be allowed to view it. If there are specific scenarios that you're curious about, please post in the Help forum.

Nova 2.4.4 is now available and fixes an error thrown when the server isn't running at least PHP 5.3 (Nova 2.4 requires PHP 5.3... apologies on not making that more clear before) as well as fixing a wrong link in the Private Messages Inbox.

Nova 2.4.5 is now available and addresses the longstanding "Error 1364" issue that some people have seen when installing or updating Nova. (Thanks to Jon Matterson for his work on this issue!) In addition, an issue with character editing has been addressed as well as more work on the new email class.

Nova 2.4.6 has been released and addresses issues with assigning departments to a manifest as well as (hopefully) fixing the errors people are seeing when sending emails. Additionally, new installations will have updated gender identifications that are more accurate and in line with social conventions.

Nova 2.4.7 has been released and updates the Writing Control Panel saved post links to avoid unnecessarily locking posts when people are trying to read saved joint posts. Additionally, we've created new back buttons on the post, log, and news posting pages to make it easier to navigate back to the Writing Control Panel.
